In many places, the schools that are there exist without boundary walls, bathrooms, drinking water or even classroom furniture. The children that do attend are forced to study in open places that are often dangerous; resulting in parents not wanting their children to go or in some cases parents cannot afford to send their child to school due to lack of money to afford school materials and transport to get to school.
No child should have to face the heartbreak of losing their parents but when that does happen, they should be able to receive the support and love from their family to help them get through the tragedy.
A one-to-one orphan sponsorship programme costs just £30 a month and will provide the child with everything they need.
