Volunteer from abroad...

Much of the work we do depends on volunteers contribution and support. Volunteers are integral to the work we do.  If you live abroad and want to personally witness the impact of your donations, we would like to hear from you.

HELPING US FROM THE UK/ABROAD

Mariam Josie Foundation encourage volunteers from overseas to visit The Gambia to take part in the various initiative we organise and support. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work on our clean water initiative, school programme and life skills programme in the rural communities we serve.

Much of the work we do depend on the generosity of our volunteers and the generous donations from our supporter. If you live abroad and want to make a difference here are some suggestion that we think can help:

Suggestions:

  • Pay a donation
  • Run a volunteer event
  • Organise a Fundraising
  • Write a contribution request letter to organisation to help support the charity, or
  • Visit us in The Gambia if you have a skill that can help sustain community housing, create jobs and create safer water systems

As a small charity one of the most important aspect for us is to be open and transparent. We encourage our supporters not just to donate towards our campaigns but to hold us to account by following up donations and asking us how and where the donations have impacted the most vulnerable.
